Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join a growing and ambitious dynamic trading team, with growth beyond the boundaries of the current mainstream offering over the next 5 years and the successful applicant will help shape that growth.

The Dynamic Trading Executive will drive sales performance and help shape the strategy for dynamically sourced flights in Ireland. You will analyse availability and price of dynamic package holidays to ensure they are relevant to competition and structured to deliver budget volume and margin. Working with your colleagues in the yield teams, you will explore opportunities to achieve these results, taking calculated risks and influencing decision making to complement TUI volume.

The team in Ireland is made up of small, multi-functional teams with the experience and knowledge to help design, adapt and deliver holidays, which we do with the assistance of our UK colleagues.

The role is based in Dublin, but at TUI we believe work is something you do not somewhere you go. We believe in offering as much flexibility to the individual on whether they work from an office or elsewhere. Of course, there will be occasions each month when we need you in the office for business reasons, but whenever reasonable we allow you to make the choice.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Dynamic Trading Executive you will work with guidance from your line manager, on how to deliver volume and profit against targets through identifying opportunities and gaps in the current mainstream package holiday offering.You will monitor daily/weekly sales against targets and discuss trends with your line manager. Monitoring flight prices of supported airlines, you will recommend where we should take advantage of opportunities that exist and manage each season on sale responding to releases of fares and promotions of third party carriers. You will be making decisions that will directly drive the price offering to our customers and ultimately feed into the overall financial performance of TUI UK&I.

  • Using yield systems and reviewing booking trends to make informed pricing decisions
  • Working within a fast paced team environment responsible for a number of holiday destinations; striving to optimise sales and profitability
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining product selection on your allocated destinations, working closely with local and central product teams
  • Keeping a close eye on the latest market trends and checking out competitor pricing activities
  • Effectively build strong internal relationships with key stakeholders across the business, ensuring prices and promotional offers are effectively communicated internally.

ABOUT YOU

  • Good commercial acumen, numeracy and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Team player with clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong initiative with ability to deliver both working on own and in a team
  • Confident, proactive and ability to work under pressure
  • Highly organised with a flexible approach to working within a fast changing, fast moving environment
  • Proficient user of the MS office suite, especially Excel
  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to work amongst different departments and stakeholders
