Performance Analyst

We’re looking for a brilliant Performance Analyst to join our team of colleagues in British Gas Business, that together are setting the standard in energy supply.

The Performance Analyst role has responsibility to deliver performance analytics & understand the effectiveness of our collection strategies, across multiple treatments, and both internal and external resources. This role is fundamental to gain a deeper level of insights and enable optimisation by deploying robust debt management commercial decisions

Work as part of E2E Debt Strategy & Performance Team to reduce overall cost of Business Energy Debt to BGB.

Accountabilities

  • Analysing monthly debt strategy and treatment performance outcomes, ensuring we can link operational activity to financial reporting.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities/risks, making recommendations, and seeking resolutions with the wider team.
  • Identify and Implement controls and processes to ensure all debt is being treated.
  • Support the business leads with adhoc analysis to enable debt treatment / debt prevention.
  • Understand, report and influence key drivers of performance.
  • Evaluating treatment channel KPI’s, identifying strategic/tactical opportunities, and progressing change enhancements.
  • Provide analysis & insight to Strategic changes & provide council and challenge to enable a rounded view of decision making.
  • Support the deployment of tactical and strategic changes impacting debt & treatment journeys.
  • Build strong working relationships with the key internal and 3rd Party stakeholders to successfully deliver effective customer segmentation.

Experience

  • Strong understanding of key performance drivers.
  • Experience of identifying risks and opportunities and engaging stakeholders to deliver strategies to exploit/mitigate.
  • Experience of linking operational performance and financial outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • SAS & SQL skills essential.
  • Energy Industry knowledge advantageous.
  • Experience of developing and deploying effective improvements in a complex organisation.

Education

  • Business Analytics essential.
  • Commercial / Financial experience preferable.
  • Demonstrated numeracy skills.
