Job Description

We are Centrica! We’re so much more than an energy company. We’re a family of brands revolutionising a cleaner, greener future. Working here is #MoreThanACareer - we’re powered by purpose. Together we can make an impact that will truly change tomorrow. Whether you’re developing cutting-edge green tech, helping customers on the front line or simplifying operations behind the scenes.

Your work here isn’t just a job – it’s a mission. We all play a vital role in energising a greener, fairer future.

Centrica Energy is the global energy trading and logistics arm of Centrica Plc. We trade power, gas, LNG, and energy attributes and connect producers, suppliers and offtakers in the wholesale energy markets - and we provide our clients with the best route-to-market services available to the market today with physical and financial settlement approaches. In short, we call ourselves energy movers by nature.

We are looking for a Senior Endur Business Analyst, to join us on our journey!

What you’ll be doing:

Within the role of Senior Endur Business Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Working with Complex product onboarding in Endur and using your expertise in deal modelling for Gas and Power

  • Driving product upgrade / digitization initiatives outlined in the organization's roadmap

  • Engage with business and IT stakeholders to propose technology solutions for new trading and reporting requirements across ETRM, reporting systems, and bespoke systems

  • Carrying out business requirements analysis and definition of functional specification, architecture, and technical designs for system interfaces between ETRM and related applications for entire deal life cycle (front, middle and back office areas)

  • Documenting and explaining architecture options and cost estimates to senior personnel for decision making.

How we work:

We embrace ‘flexible first’ as our guiding principle for flexible and hybrid working, which balances work, the team, and the individual need for flexibility. This role is based out of our London office, close to Marble Arch, with the team typically coming in 3 days per week. There will also be an occasional requirement to travel to our Denmark offices (Aalborg and Copenhagen).

A bit about you:

As an experienced Business Analyst, you will possess the following:

  • Experience having worked with Endur in a Business Analyst or similar role

  • Experience of having worked within Commodity Trading environment (familiar with front office, middle office and back office)

  • Understanding of deal life cycle e.g. gas and power

  • Expertise in designing tooling for Front Office risk capture

  • Experience working with ETRM systems particularly Endur and ideally proficiency in Endur configuration and customisation

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex business processes and requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels

  • Experience with Agile or other software development methodologies.

Your work, your way:

Centrica Energy is part of the wider Centrica Group – a family of brands all powered by the same purpose: Energising a Greener, Fairer Future.

We’re looking for people to add to our culture – not fit in with it. Every voice matters, and every different perspective is vital in ensuring we reflect the 10 million customers we serve. We're building a community where you can be unapologetically you, where differences are celebrated, and where everyone can belong.

Real inclusivity also means supporting the different realities our people face – and flexing the way we recognise and reward to suit you. We offer a choice of benefits to suit your own individual lifestyle, ensuring you and your family are taken care of, including the following:

  • Rewarding you right: All colleagues are covered by our health and life insurance, and additional benefits packages, including location-specific benefits tailored to each of our locations

  • When we do well, so do you: Because you’re a part of the Centrica family – each year we give all colleagues a slice of our profits as company shares

  • When you’re ready to grow, we’re here for you: With dedicated career pathways, bespoke development programmes and an unlimited digital learning offering, here you’ve got all the tools you need to carve your own path.

  • Powering positive change: All colleagues have two days every year to use for volunteering in their local communities.

At Centrica we embrace diversity and actively seek to attract individuals with unique backgrounds and perspectives. To build a more sustainable future, we need the best team – a team with a diverse mix of people and skills, where everyone feels welcome and able to succeed. We are dedicated in helping to close the diversity gap and would love to see more females, people of colour and LGBTQ+ employees, as well as those from a variety of cultures and ethnicity to veterans and the differently abled. Supporting diversity and inclusion is a big part of who we are, we are not looking for people to fit into our culture but to add to it!
