Job Description

The Group FP&A team are responsible for internal financial reporting and financial planning for the VMO2 Group, providing analysis and insights on the Group’s financial performance.

The role plays a key part in the Group’s financial reporting, including preparation of monthly financials, analysis, and insights, providing clear and concise narrative and executive MI reports to senior stakeholders and to our shareholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing accurate and timely financials, storytelling and insight on the Group’s monthly financial performance to senior management (including EC, CFO, Shareholders).
  • Collaborating with wider finance and business teams to understand and summarise the key narrative around the Group’s monthly financial performance.
  • Working closely with the Financial reporting team to ensure a smooth, timely and accurate month end close process.
  • Ownership of underlying working files and financial models, and aim to continuously improve and drive efficiency (e.g., automation, streamlining).
  • Act as key point of contact for Group FP&A month end reporting processes and deliverables.
  • Provide clear and timely guidance and timeliness to the wider finance and business teams to ensure Group Reporting deadlines are consistently met.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience:

  • Qualified accountant in ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven FP&A experience, including preparation of executive level MI reports, clear and concise narrative and insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
  • Experienced in financial modelling, analysis of large volumes of data, and identifying trends and insights.
  • Strong attention to detail, with high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Demonstrable collaboration and stakeholder management

The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to bring:

  • Experience of Thinkcell, SAP BPC, Essbase, Smartview and Anaplan are highly desirable.
  • Able to prioritise to respond to short notice requests and tight deadlines, a track record of handling challenging and changing deadlines and quick turnarounds of information whilst maintaining attention to detail.
