Safety and Compliance Specialist - Ground Operations

Employment type:  Full time

Remote-first

A little flex time

Job Description

As Safety and Compliance Specialist – Ground Operations with TUI Airline, you’ll get involved in all aspects of safety and compliance in Ground Operations. In addition to your usual your day job, you’ll have the occasional chance to work alongside our Airport based colleagues and be a key organiser for the annual safety conference. There’ll even be a chance to meet your global colleagues in team events in our other markets from time to time so we hope you dont mind travelling! The role requires a starter/finisher as you will be the person identifying the trends, proposing solutions and driving their implementation.

If you’ve got experience from within aviation of either safety or compliance requirements, maybe audit or if you’ve worked in Ground Handling and are keen to see how things work at Head Office, this could be a great next step for you. You’ll need to have good skills with analytics, data and statistics, able to spot trends and patterns and be confident to present on your findings. You’ll also need to know how to navigate legislation and manuals to ensure processes followed adhered to the regulations, so your ability to read and interpret legal requirements will be key.

We are happy to consider this role on a hybrid working model with a mix of remote and office based working days – approximately 1 per week (or in line with local TUI remote working principles). During initial training there may be a higher requirement to be based onsite. The role may be based from any of our Airline Source Market Offices Zaventem (Belgium), Rijswijk (Netherlands), Luton (UK), Stockholm (Sweden) or Hannover (Germany). For this role specifically you will have a slightly closer focus on our Western Region, so language skills in Dutch would be a real plus.

The position reports to the Ground Ops Regulations & Standards Manager.
