Job Description

Joining the Group Product & Purchasing Team as Account Manager – Northern Region you will be responsible for the delivery of all partner marketing activity with Tourist Boards and Hotel Partners for the UK, Nordic and Ski Lakes and Mountains markets. Leading a small team, you will act as the key link between the markets that you represent and the Group Tourist Boards & Partnerships function, holding the wider team accountable for delivering to local source market requirements whilst ensuring the team is still able to deliver to group KPI’s. You will support the wider team to ensure both local and group revenue targets are delivered through the acquisition of marketing contributions from TUI’s destination and hotel partners and through delivering all associated marketing activity . Although this role represents Northern Region, it sits within the Group Tourist Board and Partnerships structure and you will work as part of a fully international team.

ABOUT THE JOB:

This role is responsible for:

  • Assisting the Senior Account Manager Markets and the Tourist Boards & Partnerships team to achieve the revenue targets for Northern Region and Group, taking full ownership of the source market budget.

  • Relationship management with local tourist board/hotel chain offices including leading negotiations to secure marketing contributions from Northern Region only partners.

  • Managing the end to end implementation of marketing activities for your markets- from the production of marketing plans through to invoicing.

  • Overseeing the processes linked to the provision of evidence and results of activities to local tourist board offices

  • Overseeing the processes of invoicing and claiming payment from local tourist board offices in a timely way

  • Ensuring marketing campaigns are broadly in line with source market marketing strategy rules, while also ensuring the source markets are flexible with these rules to ensure the team is able to hit its revenue targets.

  • Staying up to date with latest source market developments and plans and providing detailed and regular updates to the wider TB&P Team on any relevant SM activity/ restrictions/ requirements in relation to marketing plans or business priorities

  • Building strong relationships with SM stakeholders to ensure a two way dialogue is established to ensure both local and group objectives are understood and achieved.

  • Supporting the Senior Account Manager- Markets Implementation and wider TB&P Team to identify opportunities for improvements in processes within your own market, share best practice and to create alignment across markets.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Experienced in account management and/ or marketing preferable

  • Strong knowledge of the TUI product and destination portfolio

  • Proven management experience with the ability to develop and motivate a high performing team

  • Independent self-starter with strong planning & organisational skills

  • Strong commercial aptitude and excellent numerical and analytical skills

  • Engaging communicator with the ability to challenge, negotiate and influence

  • Collaborative team player that if comfortable working within an international environment

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of languages (especially French, Spanish and German) would be beneficial (but not essential)
