You lead technical area(s) requiring experience in the field of auditing and compliance, data reporting, and social and environmental sustainability. This involves overseeing auditing, verification, and controls processes, quality assurance of external reporting towards us, and managing our reporting and transparency efforts towards our partners and the public. To be successful, you will align internal stakeholders and external partners on shared processes across our global teams.

How you will contribute

You will manage the Cocoa Life reporting projects, quality control of reporting, verification of data, and partnering with the global ESG team to safeguard appropriate data assurance. Sharing information and ensuring reporting quality supports our objectives towards economic well-being of farming families, community development, and environmental sustainability. This includes maintaining existing relationships or building new ones with program evaluators, verifiers, and the partners who implement our activities on the ground. In addition, you will: support the standardization of reporting and controls procedures, work with research partners to analyze and interpret sustainability data for reporting, work within multi-stakeholder initiatives aimed at improving controls and reporting procedures, and support the ongoing compliance with legal requirements.

  • Data quality, monitoring, and evaluation for agricultural supply chains in smallholder settings

  • Understanding of the relationship between business impact, raw material sustainability, and reporting data quality

  • Verification, standardization, controls, and assurance related approaches

  • Understanding of agricultural supply chains from farm through to manufacturing facilities

  • Regulatory initiatives that interact with assurance and reporting initiatives in the space of agricultural raw materials for consumer food products

  • Networking and negotiating skills

  • Working well with a broad range of stakeholders (for example, farmers, researchers, government and business leaders, and suppliers)

This role supports our objectives towards social development and environmental sustainability, with a focus reporting processes, quality assurance, and verification, in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders.

What extra ingredients you will bring:

  • You need to be a self-starter, genuinely interested in the topic of sustainable development and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • You need to be thorough, diligent, and provide for high personal integrity and reliability

  • You have worked within a private business or very closely with private business in the past

  • Fluency in English language is a must

  • Good knowledge of French and/or Spanish is helpful

  • Strong experience with data quality assessments and management of data reporting

  • Strong experience with standardization approaches and standard operating procedures

  • Strong experience with assurance and controls approaches

  • Experience with developmental contexts and agricultural sustainability

  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation a plus, also with respective software or languages (e.g., Python, R, SPSS, STATA), and geographic information systems (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)

  • Team player and comfortable with cross-cultural settings and multi-stakeholder groups across different types of organizations

The final offer will depend on the skills and previous experience of the candidate. We also offer top attractive benefits.

The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland .
