Senior Talent Acquisition Partner - 6 month day rate contractor - Mars UK, Ireland & Germany - Hybrid / Flexible.

We are looking for an adaptable & results driven Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to join our team (6 months contract)

You will be recruiting across our core segments in Mars Petcare, Mars Wrigley and Mars Food, home of our iconic brands such as Pedigree, Whiskas, Snickers, Maltesers and Bens Original.

This role will play an integral part in providing Mars’ UK, Germany & Ireland business units with the recruitment expertise needed for all aspects of the internal and external hiring process. The successful candidate will build in-depth knowledge of these markets and leverage their insights to be a great partner to Line Managers across Supply & Demand in finding the best talent possible. In this role, you will learn to build diverse talent pipelines, attract and assess internal and external talent and ensure a smooth process for everyone involved in our talent acquisition processes.

Our salary range for this role is £50-60,000 a year depending on location and experience. Candidate can be based anywhere in UK or Germany, but preferably with proximity at one of our Hub sites: Slough, Paddington, Waltham (UK), Verden, Unterchaching, Minden, Viersen (Ger).

What would your key responsibilities be?

  • Manage the full lifecycle of the recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
  • Partnering closely with stakeholders to determine core capabilities/experiences for success in the roles within their scope, whilst attracting diverse candidates with the right skills, capabilities and ability to bring the Mars signature culture to life.
  • Partner with hiring managers to assess their staffing needs and develop comprehensive recruitment strategies.
  • Experience with hiring & assessment technologies to enhance the recruitment experience, such as Hirevue & Phenom
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing methods to attract qualified candidates, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
  • Working closely with Talent Acquisition Coordinators to streamline candidate experience from interview booking to feedback
  • Advising on and processing offers through Workday.
  • Ensuring hiring managers have the recruiting skill set and complementary assessors to ensure great decision making.
  • Partnership with business function to review data & demand plans
  • Managing relationships with key external providers and agencies, ensuring recruitment partners align to Mars values and are a consistent extension of Mars’ employer reputation.
  • Continuously build an external talent pipeline; proactively sourcing for high-quality candidates and maintaining relationships with talent for future opportunities, developing creative and alternative external sources of talent and remaining informed around external recruitment best practices.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition and make recommendations for process improvements.

What are we looking for?

  • Demonstrable experience of flexibility, adaptability, drive for results and an efficiency first mindset
  • Experience of data & analytics capability and excel fluency
  • Demonstrable record of success in sourcing and attracting top talent in a competitive market.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of recruitment best practices, employment laws, and HR policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrable organisation skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrable experience managing recruitment through an ATS (preferably Workday) and other HR software.
  • Demonstrable Ability to interpret global process, practice local operational policies, address issues, troubleshoot for resolution and escalate issues to appropriate parties as needed.
  • Certification in HR or talent acquisition (e.g., CIPD, SHRM-CP, PHR, LinkedIn Recruiter) is advantageous
