This role is part of the Pet Nutrition Digital Technologies organization and manages the deployment of DT projects/programs within a region, ensuring the overall schedule and benefits are achieved (scope, cost, time and quality).

The role operates across the Pet Nutrition segment, collaborating with Mars DT, Functional managers partner and business unit stakeholders to deliver projects within their region while embracing new digital methods and tools such as Agile, Design Thinking, Analytics and drive the “Zero Distance to the Customer” agenda.

An essential part of this role Is to be able to create the right level of trust with the markets and key business stakeholders, including senior leaders when needed. Therefore the candidate must demonstrate a high level of autonomy, Independency and capability to navigate and deliver In an ambiguous environment.

What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years’ work experience in Digital Technologies
  • 5+ years’ experience leading technical and functional teams
  • Min 5 years in project management experience
  • Knowledge of IT solutions and/or relevant business area
  • Knowledge on Financial basis for project budgeting and financial planning

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Manages the deployment of up to $1M in annual projects, securing benefits delivery through expert management of quality, costs, and time.
  • Housekeeping of the portfolio both operationally and financially.
  • Determines business process and information requirements, gains unit commitment, and delivers effective business process and system changes.
  • Working across Pectare DT, Core Capabilities, and Core Services teams, determines system functional requirements and completes the design in line with overall project aims.
  • Oversees the build and delivery of the business application through the Development team and ensures successful handover to Core Services.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the relevant business area to aid in the development of accurate and concise functional requirements.
  • Applies technical and functional knowledge to design solutions (design thinking) that are in line with technical architecture, database design and performance requirements; and which are appropriate given the context within which they will be implemented.
  • Analyses the business and systems impact of the solution and plans the detailed tasks required to achieve delivery of the fully tested solution.
  • Coordinates internal and 3rd party resources during the development, implementation and nurturing phases.
  • During the build and implementation phases, carries out activities to configure software packages and/or manage technical resources or vendors.
  • Delivers solutions which are quality and functionally tested, with supporting project documentation which meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Applies the Mars competitive bidding process to run simple competitive bidding events, ensure associated governance is adhered to, and allocate business to suppliers.
  • Utilizes the Project Portfolio Management tool for planning resources, project milestones, risks and financials.
  • Engages Petcare DT Senior Managers & Managers, and business unit Directors to ensure successful project deployment and benefits achievement.
  • Manages projects benefit deliveries by having an early discovery and alignment on responsible, target dates and metrics or indicators.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and applicability of proven Project Governance, Management, and Delivery approaches, with an ability to flex my approach according to the Project
  • Encourages others into collaborative ways of working; using new digital methods and tools such as Agile, Design Thinking, Analytics and drive the “Zero Distance to the Customer” agenda.
  • Understand and deliver Mars, Incorporated requirements for financial information using analytical tools and judgment to derive business insights in order to fully understand our financial performance and the drivers of performance.
  • When needed, play a support liaison role with one of the local market to support digital agenda definition/execution
