As an IT Operations Manager at LI, you will steer the day-to-day operational excellence of our IT support services and leveraging the latest in cloud technologies to propel our business forward. The ideal candidate will excel in orchestrating Incident and Problem Management, IT Technical Change Management, and Cloud Services Management.

Responsibilities

· Service Availability Management - Initiate proactive strategies, prepare, and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to maintain the availability, performance, and security of live services. This approach ensures uninterrupted access and reliability for all users.

· Continuous Service Improvement - Actively seek out opportunities for enhancement and engage in collaboration across Service teams to support the Service Continuous Service Improvement Programme. This initiative is dedicated to elevating service performance, reducing operational costs, minimising technical debt, and bolstering security measures.

· System Maintenance and Upgrades - Implement preventative maintenance tasks and ensure appropriate upgrade plans are in place so that services remain current. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all standards and regulations.  

· Strategic IT Leadership - Support the live services IT strategy that is intricately aligned with organizational objectives, emphasizing system optimization and pioneering innovation.

· IT Operations Enhancement -Develop and refine the IT Operations service, aligning with strategic visions and future operational enhancements.

· Azure Cloud Services Management - Lead the effective management of Azure cloud services, galvanising solid support and operational excellence in cloud service delivery. Design, Implement and ensure efficient maintenance and ensure compliance to all Disaster Recovery Plans.

· Operational Excellence and Service Delivery - Manage both internal and partnered application support functions, ensuring live service applications, data, middleware and platforms architecture standards are met and positively impact the broader business strategy.

· Facilitating Business Change - Support new business initiatives and service improvements through the Service Front Door process, incorporating effective reporting mechanisms to track progress and outcomes.

· Project and Delivery Management - Implement both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, utilizing Azure DevOps for comprehensive backlog management, pipeline integration, and Test Plans.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven IT Operations Leadership: Demonstrable experience in managing complex IT operations, with a strong emphasis on cloud services and support management.
  • Expertise in Cloud Technologies: Extensive hands-on experience with Azure and M365, from architecture, design, build and test, release to service management.
  • Operational Excellence: A track record of enhancing IT service delivery, managing change portfolios, and upholding IT security protocols and build standards.
  • Strategic Vision: Adept at translating IT capabilities into strategic business advantages.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in navigating and influencing across organisational boundaries, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Line manage internal staff and manage contract service providers across Azure DevSecOps engineers, service architects, full stack software engineers and test engineers, delivery managers, scrum masters and business analysts,
  • Innovation and Compliance: Commitment to innovation, best practices, and maintaining high standards of compliance and security.

Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, with preference given to advanced degrees or certifications.

Professional Experience: Substantial experience in IT operations management, with a focus on cloud computing environments and service delivery platforms.
