That’s why we need a brilliant Responsible Business Manager - Volunteering and Campaigns to help us get to where we’re going.
Supporting the Group-wide Volunteering programme in support of reaching our People and Planet Plan goal of contributing 100,000 days to support local communities by 2030 you will be responsible for the management of group tools and policies, charity volunteering partnerships and programmes and reporting requirements. Also, you will be responsible for the delivery of content and campaigns to support Volunteering and wider Responsible Business initiatives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure volunteering partners and activities are in line with our strategy.
- Manage existing partnerships and develop new volunteering offers as appropriate.
- Produce reports to evaluate volunteering activity and its impact, and other Responsible Business initiatives.
- Work with Internal Communications to deliver communication campaigns and events to raise awareness of volunteering and encourage participation.
- Maintain comms assets including case studies and campaign assets.
- Develop content and campaigns for specific initiatives, for example the British Gas Energy Trust and Energy for Tomorrow, and maintain relevant stakeholder lists.
In this role you will build strong relationships with our charity partners as well as our internal comms teams, marketing, and corporate affairs colleagues to communicate volunteering activities and campaigns. In addition, you will work with external creative agencies to promote and deliver volunteering and wider Responsible Business campaigns.
Who are we looking for?
- Experience of employee volunteering
- Experience working with charities and agencies, and managing suppliers
- Proven track record of managing engagement campaigns
- Project management experience
- Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Experience of creating assets – social media posts/case studies
