We are recruiting a Maintenance Superintendent who will lead the offshore field maintenance team. Responsible for execution of the maintenance strategy for the Rough Offshore Installation including maintaining safety and production critical equipment availability at high levels needed to meet commercial production and injection requirements.

This role will also assume OIM every 5th week during the 2 weeks spent offshore

Accountabilities

  • Leads and directs the maintenance department And ensures competence and development of the team
  • The role carries responsibility for the performance, management, and focus for the completion of planned, corrective, and emergent maintenance tasks.
  • Provide input and recommendation to Centrica Storage’s overall maintenance strategy and long term focus areas for improvement (in the context of continuous improvement to processes and practices, aging asset, renewal of life expired equipment etc)
  • Ensures safety leadership and the highest level of safety standards throughout the team and throughout the vendors that they sponsor
  • Performance management of 3rd party service providers and resources
  • Monitoring and control maintenance manpower, budgets and consumable costs and maintain expenditure within departmental budget
  • Supports the ‘Loss Reporting’ process through leadership of RCA and investigation of failures involving safety and platform critical equipment and processes.
  • Audit and monitoring of Rough Field Management process and procedure to ensure compliance and fitness for purpose.
  • Manages the Rough Field SCE maintenance deferral process.
  • Acts as work execution gatekeeper and drives planning gate attainment
  • Enacts the 365 maintenance planning process, and defines and owns the field maintenance shutdown planning and enactment (inc. 3rd party vendor activity).
  • Ensures and verifies that all maintenance conforms to legislative standards, company policies, and individual equipment specific performance standards
  • As a member of the offshore leadership team, the role is expected to directly support the OIM in an emergency response management role, assume deputy OIM responsibilities as required, and work collaboratively with the OIM to define and manage local site policies and strategies.
  • The role is required to provide various HR and welfare support functions to the maintenance team.
  • The role is required to work closely with the asset and office based support teams to facilitate the design, construction and commissioning of major capital and revenue projects

Competencies

  • Practical experience in the use and updating of maintenance management system
  • The job holder must have Technical competence in a specific engineering discipline with a broad base understanding and knowledge of all other engineering disciplines, including production and processing, utility and power plant.
  • A good track record of people management and be experienced in the maintenance of high pressure process plant, rotating equipment, life support systems and associated utilities.
  • Good team leadership and analytical skills; and the ability to influence and communicate at all levels are essential.
  • Well developed problem solving skills, using a variety of techniques to identify root causes and potential solutions.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of Higher National Certificate in engineering discipline or have equivalent industry experience
