Success in the role will require problem solving, new ways of thinking, comfort with data and generating insights, simplifying the complex and collaborating with others to deliver the optimal suite of tools, reports and insight sharing. Ultimately, this will enable greater insight, greater thought leadership, and greater customer and associate engagement.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Working in partnership with data agencies and cat strat function to ensure quality and integrity of data being used in reporting and decision making.
  • Manage and maintain internal reporting solutions to enable periodic updates on category performance and key drivers of this.
  • Update key periodic reports and optimise the sharing of these reports and insights to maximise their impact on decision making across functions and through the S&OP cycle.
  • Partner with category strategy and development teams to build efficiencies into category and market reporting and build/optimise suite of critical reports.
  • Enhance category team reporting solutions to embrace digital solutions and enable greater insights generation vs data pulls and data reporting by collaborating with external data agencies and internal teams.
  • Support as required to respond to adhoc data and insight requests against key business of today performance or opportunities.
  • Manage data budgets, payments and forecast submissions.
  • Work with key external data providers to ensure we are getting most of out of them and they are delivering against our insights and reporting requirements.
  • Support development on new solutions required to integrate UK&I cluster, and manage and maintain solution for consolidated overview of performance.

What are we looking for?

Graduate calibre with prior experience in FMCG/UK retail and data analytics/tools and insights generation.

  • Data savvy: able to analyse data, pull out key insights, create recommendations and drive these into actionable change
  • Experience of Category management tools preferable but not essential
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships both internal and external
  • Working in cross functional environment/team
  • Experience within UK FMCG/retail desirable
